MTPFrom iriver Wiki, your source for everything iriver - a part of MisticRiver.The Media Transfer Protocol, created by Microsoft, for transmission of media info via USB. It offers more powerful options than UMS, but is not available on every platform. MTP is offered from within the Windows Media Player WMP10 and WMP11. It is part of Windows Vista. Several players, such as the clix, require MTP for transmission of files to the computer. Full MTP support is given within certain products only. A basic MTP subset is available on various platforms, usually derived from libmtp. Mac OS X has MTP support by way of XNJB. See wikipedia for further details. |
