H1xx Firmware Version Information

The H100/H110 and H120/H140 use incompatible firmware but versions are kept in sync between both models1. For firmware download locations see H1xx Firmware Downloads.

- v1.02 - Original Factory Version
- v1.10 - Added SRS sound technology, a Text Viewer, .m3u playlist support, fast skip and a voice monitor for internal microphone recording. Improved 48kHz optical recording, 48kHz WAV playback, Battery indicator, shuffle playback, EQ change, default directory mode, increased backlight shutdown time, and improved display of Russian font characters. In addition, several bugs were fixed, including optical line-out recording bugs, folder name display, MP3 gain tag issues, and EQ sound balance issues.
- H120/H140 released.
- v1.16 - Added Ogg Vorbis support. Improved display change from normal playback to FM radio. Fixed several bugs including backlight adapter settings, FF/RW playback bugs, auto scan bugs, and a bug where the player would not resume when reset.
- v1.17 - Fixed a bug where the player would freeze if the artist/title in the tag were longer than 64 characters.
- v1.40 - Addition of lyrics display, improvement of Ogg sample rate, file format display, .m3u playlist playback, text viewer navigation, unicode text viewer, and resume on .m3u playlists. A bunch of bugs were fixed as well, 8kHz MP3 playback, music file playback with hidden properties, system freeze on Ogg playback, tag issues,tag display with umlaut/accent, and remote operation when main unit is set to hold.
- v1.60 - Introduced OTF delete, OTF format and "Gap Delete" which skipped gaps of silence at the end of tracks. It also introduced playback speed control.
- v1.63 - Changed the boot logo, due to legal issues with HP.
- v1.65 - Featured improved recording menus, with several small recording feature implementations as well.
- v1.66 - Lyric display for WMA files. set recording format (wav/mp3) using a-b button on standby. Display Hebrew + Greek tags. Fixed predictable shuffle bug. Fixed HD spin bug when pressing navi but not selecting file. Fixed audio glitches when recording in wav. Fixed bug that didn't record internal mic volume when set to 0. Fixed display of broken character when changing bit rate of Ext mike in the menu after changing it in settings from standby.
Notes
- The main difference between the models is only the HDD and RAM size.
