Today, iriver Korea made official the clix+. The clix+ is a cousin to the standard clix (clix 2) with the additions of a DMB Video & Radio Tuner. The new unit comes in Pink and Violet colors and is now available at the iriver Korea eStore. Users in the U.S. will not see these anytime soon since the U.S. (in all its infinite wisdom) has never bothered to pursue Satellite Multi-Media Broadcasting. Currently selling at 278,000 won or approx. $296US, the clix + is no bargain, but if you must have TV on the go, this may be what you are looking for.

Chalk up another design award for iriver. This time it’s the iF Product Design Award. Sure wish iriver would get busy designing players geared for the U.S. and abroad!

Just in case you hadn’t heard, iriver has a nice little promotion going on through the end of 2007 for its clix 2nd generation players. Purchase any qualifying player and receive a 10% Cash Rebate. iriver Korea pulled a surprise out of their hat today by launching the new iriver clix Armband Kit. Previously we had only seen one photo of the armband listed on the iriver Korea site as an accessory for the clix. That was months ago and since then we hadn’t heard a word. Today however, iriver released the new accessory and it looks fabulous. It consists of a crystal type clear plastic case which then attaches to the armband via a clip system. The armband itself is made of silicone! Of course we’ll try and get a hold of one for a brief review and hopefully The iriver Store will have them in stock soon. Join us after the break for photos…
