iriver P35 Network PMP

Well finally it arrived, the iriver P35. Here is a quick unboxing video just to wet your appetite for one of iriver’s newest players. The iriver P35 is a “network PMP”, featuring built in Wifi and FTP capabilities. It runs on a WinCE 5.0 core with a combination icon/widget GUI. This particular unit came with a screen protector and case due to an event that iriver was running at the time of purchase. The retail versions, if and when they hit U.S. shores, may or may not have these items. Enjoy the video (short and sweet), and I’ll have more video and a full review coming up so stay tuned.

iriver E150 Arrives

iriver E150I think iriver was manuevering a bit with their newest player, the E150.  While keeping our attention with the release of the P7 and P35, they careful attacked our flanks with the successor to the E100-2, the E150.  For the most part a redesigned E100, a bit longer and thicker, but the internals have remained the same with the only noticeable change being a more colorful GUI. This model comes in 2, 4, & 8GB with pricing starting at $78US for 2GB and $100US for 4GB.  No pricing yet for the 8GB model but it should retail for less than the original E100’s $159.99 when it debuts.

iriver P7 & P35 Coming!

countdowniriver Korea is prepping for the launch of their newest portable media players, the P7 and P35. The P7 weighs in as a “budget” line of player although packs a great deal of features into its shell including a 4.3″ Touchscreen, up to 32GB of NAND Flash memory built in and a microSD card slot for added storage. It also includes an impressive battery life of up to 50hrs for audio and 7hrs for video. The P35 enters the scene as relatively unknown with the exception of renderings and printed specs. Bringing to the table a 4.3″ Touchscreen, WiFi, G Sensor, SPINN Control Feature and USB on the Go among other features, the P35 will likely be a higher end product and thus have a higher end pricing scheme. Availability is not known yet for the U.S., but we do know that the P7 will see a release in the coming months. iriver Korea

iriver P7 Spotted

iriver P7

Our friends at iriverfans.com seem to have been lucky enough to spend some hands on time with the iriver P7. This as yet to be released new portable player from iriver will debut a new UI with a “magazine like” home menu. According to the forum posts (with less than stellar translation), the P7 will include a 16 million color screen, Aluminum Body with “special coating” and support a wide range of codecs. Also included are an SD slot (micro we believe) with confirmed support for up to 8GB cards. The unit will also boast 50hr audio and 7hr video battery life. It is not known yet if the player will support 720P video but it looks to use a similar data cable to that of the U10 according to the information here which would suggest the ability to support video output with the proper connections. The other interesting bit of information is this “the key is the price you can not imagine the cheap!“. Only time will tell, but we can’t wait!.

iriver Wave Home in the Wild

iriver Wave Home

We got our first glimpse of the iriver Wave Home back at CES earlier in the year. An internet phone/appliance, the Wave Home has some cool features for making calls, and for enjoying your multi media. One lucky Korean guy/gal just received theirs it seems and has the photos to prove it. Although the translation is sketchy at best, we can make out wireless networking, ATM integration, SD Card slot and Widgets on the Desktop among others. We’ll keep an eye out for more but in the meantime, enjoy. More photos and the full review courtesy of revu via portable alliance.

iriver P7 Official!

iriver officially announced their newest portable media player today at the iriver worldwide site.

The P7, which was revealed this year at CES, uses a unique gui in a magazine style layout. Housed in an aluminum body and armed with up to 32GB of internal NAND Flash memory and a microSD card slot, the P7 looks to be a winner. iriver seems to have gone the extra mile with the P7, bringing back a metallic housing and arming the player with up to 32GB of internal storage which should satisfy most of todays storage hungry users. Battery life looks to be good as well with stated figures of 35hrs Audio and 7hrs Video.

iriver Spinn - Black?

It looks as though iriver may be putting a new “spin” on the Spinn. Appearing the other day in the korean community are photos of a Black iriver Spinn. According to Design Fabulous at dapreview.net, the Spinn was packaged in a blister pack (something more well known for the U.S. than Korea). Time will tell.

iriver E100 “Lost Review”

The iriver E100 was released early in 2008 and without any fanfare. It was mostly criticized for its less than stellar build quality and “so so” sound quality. misticriver received a review unit from iriver and the review was completed by member BBD in June of 2008. This review has been available in the forums section of the site, but has now been resurrected for the front page of misticriver.
