0.04 is out
Code:
version 0.04 (1/27/2005):
	* Fixed choppy DVD conversion
	* Fixed splitting of middle parts of video
	* Changed window decorations to a better looking set
Fixed a few bugs and beautified it.

The icons are something that I have to make and include which I have not done yet. I just wanted to get a few opinions before I do all of that work.

Hey, im glad 2 see you chose the name i suggested, i havnt tried the program yet, but im wondering if someone can write a tutorial for basic AVI file converting. Also, for those who have used it: Is the converted file bigger, smaller, or the same size? im saying this cuz i only have 700mb left in my PC out of 40 gigs.

It already is. This is about the third incarnation of the thread and the mods cant keep up. There are lots of short ones but 3 for definate over 100posts long. Hmm post No.2000 that makes me nervous.

Must make it a good one.

Because nobody has asked

As Astec123 said, this thread has been posted/reposted a few times now, so unless someone sends a mod/admin a PM asking for it to be stickied, it'll take forever

I've now unstuck the old thread, and stickied this one.

sweet lord mrstaticvoid...ive been with ya since the day you released the simple little script. what leaps and bounds youve made since then.

i think i speak for everyone at misticriver when i say what an awesome job youve done putting this thing together. thank you so much for taking everyone into consideration and kindly listening to everyones suggestions from the reasonable to the ridiculous as well as implementing them into your program.

thanks again,

Mexican

Now don't overexaggerate! I made one thread for the script and one for the program. 1 + 1 = 2 last time I checked . Thank you for sticking this anyway!

Thanks again, MrStaticVoid! I love this program! Everything has worked perfectly with this program except one thing: converting .wmvs, .asfs (they're basically the same I think), and .rms. It seems like other people have been able to do this, but not me. THe conversion gets to about 8%, then it terminates. Would someone tell me if they can convert these types of video files?

rollercoastermike, this is a problem with the windows version of mencoder. I have know about it from day one and have been waiting for the next version. I will try to figure out how to compile the Windows version to see if I can squeeze any stability out of it.

You have an H320? Back upfiles to your H3XX and then convert (video files come out smaller...by a fair bit i.e. 200mb file=50mb) and move things back and forth.

Direst from the dvd, I get about 40fps. As an image on my hard drive mounted, I can get 100+.

AMD Xp 2100+ @ 1.7ghz for comparison.

Man, this program is awesome! The DVD's are just as synced as my other videos are. Although there is a minor sync problem, it's good enough for me. Great job! This is the best program hands down for converting videos. I'll never touch VirtualDub again. Plus, with the ease-of-use, it's easy to recommend to my friends and encourage them to get an iRiver. Thank you SO much.

It should produce 3 files, a complete DVD rip, and one that is split in two. Myself, I prefer the split ones, as it makes it easier to keep track of where you are in the movie.

Edgar... calm down. I don't know if you mean to come across angry but the capitals kinda = shouting so you look pretty pissed. Static's done a great job on this program and the reason that the video is split is because the H300 can't handle long video files so you need to have them split into 90 minute segments.
