This program worked great for me in the past, but now it's converting my movies to 220x176 29fps! I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I love the program though, previous versions have worked great!

I've tried several types of video file and all go through the convertion process with no problems - but if I get properties on the converted files the fps is 30! Consequently I get an unsupported file error on my H320. Help!

Yea... I just converted something as well, and it is going at 23 fps. I hope you release a fix for it soon!
Edit: Actually, it didn't change the speed of the frames at all. The original video was 23 fps, and iriverter just kept it at 23 fps. |

slightly off topic but if you want to convert a simpsons or family guy dvd (where they have multiple episodes in one disc) is each episode per title? (title one= episode one, title 2= episode 2,....).

Oh man what an embarrasing mistake with the FPS thing. I didn't handle the case when you don't use volume normalization correctly. I've fixed it in version 0.02. Forgive me
To the Files! EDIT: 'The Office' is amazing!

MrStaticVoid: about that Icon...Perhaps some guys from Skinning/Theming Section could be willing to create a special Icon for iRiverter...As far as I have seen their skins, they are pretty skillful in graphics...
I think it is worth asking, maybe some competition

Hi all,
I'm on MacOS X. I downloaded the converter and tried to convert an avi video (that was saved on my computer) but I got an error message saying format not supported. Then I put in a DVD and nothing happens. I think the problem may be with the mencoder and mplayer files that came with the converter. There is no file format associated with them. Is that normal? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Out of Style, try replacing the mplayer and mencoder files with the ones found in the zip here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/m...5.zip?download
That is an updated version of the mplayer and mencoder binaries that iriverter needs to convert videos. It is normal for binary executables not to have extensions on Unix based operating systems. If that works I will repackage the OSX release with the newer binaries. Thank you!

The newer binaries didn't fix the problem.
Also, when I'm attempting to convert a DVD shoud the 'DVD Tab' read "/dev/disk3?" I assume the program is finding the DVD on its own, and that's the name given the DVD right? I can't navigate to the DVD itself from any of the menus (nor can I click and drop). |

Can you post the settings used. Check the properties of the video to ensure they confirm to the iRiver quoted limitations.
Im wondering if maybe MSV that you should remove the PMP bits and release a separate version for PMP users (leaving in the h300s as I use these settings on minor files) as problems seem to have arisen due to its inclusion. |

I've found the problem. I wasn't specifying 44100 hz output. I am SO sorry about that. I feel like crying. 0.03 will be out as soon as I can package it up!

0.03 is out, fixing the "Not support" problem. Let's let that be the last stupid mistake!
Out of Style, /dev/disk3 is indeed your dvd. iriverter automatically searches for dvds.

Astek...it took me 30 minutes to package and upload 0.03. If I was managing 2 different versions it would take an hour. I'd rather just fix any existing bugs if that's cool with you.
