I love this program. My question is, is there any way I can get it to encode the audio at 64kbps instead of 128? Is there a file I can easily edit, or something, that will make that change. I use this program mainly to encode seinfeld episodes from my H340, and the audio on the original files is already 64kbps, so it doesn't make much sense to reincode them at 128! Thanks

Adam, do the H300s support 64kbps sound along with the video? You could try it tho

great! works perfectly now on my system. MAC OSX 10.3.6.
Just opened the .jar file and ran great.

  • You can now run it with Java 1.3 and higher.
  • tlechaos, that bug you found is now fixed I think.
  • I'm now finishing up PMP support.
  • I am going to apply for a SourceForge project because I have no space on my school account and I would like to have some sort of version management. So I need a name. I am thinking "iVideo Converter", but I am not a very creative person.

I just tested 64kbps audio on my H320 and it works. Since I'm adding selectable bitrates for the PMP, I can go ahead an allow that for the H300 series too.

what about like "iVideo" , or "River Video", or maybe like "iSTATIC"

the dvd rip came out awesome....but one minor thing that was weird. The movie Collateral's audio is in French. Is there a way to specify which audio to encode? But besides the language issue, the program is super sweet. Thanks again MrStaticVoid. Cheers!

Ok, I've heard a few people saying how their audio is in another language when ripping a DVD so I've added selectable language functionality.



This feature should help a few of you out. When I finish the PMP support (its almost done I swear), I will add dvd subtitle support which will be nice for ripping anime!

Fetch and replace the jar or zip, it doesn't matter.

Oh and keep the names coming! I will probably apply tommorrow.

robinhood, I've tested the program with a few real video files and they have all worked. If the file isn't too big (under 10mb) and you don't mind me seeing it, you can send it to MrStaticVoid@gmail.c om (don't send regular emails there, I don't read them. I just use it for emails with large attachments). I can solve problems best when I have the actual video.

First off, Static, thanks for the software. I'm having a problem with dvd transfers though. The program does not recognize my dvd drive at all. It is a Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-R2102. Any ideas? I checked for updated drivers for the drive and found none. Not sure where to go from here.

Do you have a dvd in the drive? It only adds drives with a dvd in it to that list.

That must have been it. The first dvd I had in wasn't registering in any program at all. Once I tried another dvd, it worked fine. Thanks, and sorry, seems like sort of a silly problem in hindsight. Anyway, thanks again. You've helped to make my first day with my h340 an awesome experience.

*kinda off topic but has to do with dvds* When i encoded and converted to avi from one of my dvds. after everything was done , i couldnt watch the movie from my dvd . only way to see it is from the computer. anyway to change this?
