Hi, I'm new to the world of encoding and I have two questions about using the iriverter:

1. I don't know why I'm having this problem, but I've installed Iriverter and then I double click on the icon to get the program started, and nothing happens. It doesn't start. I don't know why. I've redownloaded the latest version from the website twice, can anyone help?

problem with iRiverter converter
it seems to me that the only files that work without getting stuck every couple of frames are .avi files. at least thats how it is whenever i try tpo convert, is there any way of fixing this so that other file types are converted properly? sometimes it also makes color into black and white, is this a problem on my computer or is there something i need to do?
i would appreciate any help!!

ok i've found out how to fix this!! change the version from 0.14 back to the 0.13r1 version and everything works fine!

I have just recently bought an iRIVER H340 and i cant find an easy program that will convert my video files properly. Ive been tryin for ages. Could someone please send me a program that can do it for me...

Two problems

1)When you convert wmv files they end up to be in black and white and out of sync
2)It wont convert mov files its stuck on converting and nothings happening

any help appreciated

Which link specifically? Havn't seen any links on this page at least, and besides, it means people can point you to sites you haven't found while you were 'searching' for the answer to you problem, instead of having to type it all up in a post.

i though the program is gonna minimize the size when you resize on smaller dimension, but turns out that the size is bigger after all

im useing iriveter and it got the video on to the iriver but when i turn on my iriver and go it to the directory its blank. any ideas?

which directory? All you do is save the converted file into whichever folder you want, and then access it from the music files.

you cant, only international firmware 1.25 and up can support it, get 1.28 here
warning: you will lose the DRM function forever (i think thats what its called)

You cannot if you have the U.S. firmware. Simply flash it to International. Keep in mind if you do this you will lose the ability to play DRM files forever. This includes Napster subscriptions. I suggest to wait a few weeks to see if there is new firmware coming out.
