Whoa guys...sorry I have been pretty inactive. I've been very busy lately. As far as the splitting issues, they are being worked on (is it 100 minutes, 90 minutes, or 60? I've heard all three and my program does it at 90 atm). I never tested that feature on Windows, only Linux. The sync issues I'm not sure about. I will post around a bit in the mencoder mailing list to see if I can fix it.

If there are any other problems like "not support"...when you encode, a command should be written to the terminal behind the program, tell me the command and maybe even a nice little screenshot like ezsoulja's.

Astec, you hook me up with the necessary resolution and frame-rate etc. and I will just make it an option in my program like:
Code:
Device: Dropdown---H300
                ---PMP

Hi the splitting problem...have o look at here http://www.iriver.com/html/support/d...pSearchString=

its official page of iRiver which says all limitations of fimrware..playback for video 1h...if anyone has a firmware which allows him to play longer video, please tell me...

MRSTATICVOID: what shall i do with wrong splitting...program says everything was allright, but then in output directory there is just PART1 ,which is part 2 actually and real part 1 is missing...what shall i do?
perhaps problem is at my computer not at your prog, but i dont know what to do with that?

thx

Ok...I have updated the program. I have DRAMATICALLY improved synchronization. Let me know if you are having any more major sync issues. I have also lowered the splitting time to 60 minutes and fixed a bug where all the pieces were written as part1 (sorry that one slipped through).

Instead of downloading the whole 6mb package again, you can just redownload the jar and put it in the same directory. If you want to download the full zip again, thats cool too, its all updated.

I'm still working through some other bugs you all have mentioned. Keep em coming! Let's get this thing perfect!

Wonderful the data on the PMP as per the manual are

Video Size
-320x240 and 640x480
Frame rates
-Upto 30fps so a selection would be great
Audio
-mmpeg1/2/2.5 layer 3
audio bit rate max / min
-8 - 192
Video
-XviD, mpeg4, mpeg1
Video max bit rate
-1.5mbps
File types
-AVI, ASF, MPEG

So basically we would need a selection of those settings. All and I suspect you will have every PMP owner praying to the god that is MrStaticVoid.

If you need any more PM me. I cant wait now. Strange for me to get anything like this requested, big thank you for even considering it.

Staticvoid, just a suggestion - shove a link to the program in your sig. it makes it really easy to find for noobs and for those of us who can't be bothered searching. it also looks pretty cool too in a kind of techy geek way (which is a good thing, btw).

Also saves you copying and pasting any time you want to refer to it in a post you make.

(oh yeah... after all that I forgot the real reason i put a post in - Thanks sooooo mcuh for the updatE!!!!!!!!!!!! I hvane't had a chance to test it out yet but if i couldn't get a fimware update for my birthday then this is next best thing!)

MrStaticVoid, first I just have to say that your program is excellant. Just like in your screen shot, it allowed me to rip my Family Guy DVDs to my H340 with very minimal sync problems.

As a suggestion, could you PLEASE add some sort of batch support? As I would like to do all my Family Guy and Futurama DVDs overnight, and not have to be at my PC every 18mins to open up the next one. Something simple would be nice, like a check box or even better yet, on the DVD page, have an auto option, where it will rip track 1 and call it track 1, then go onto 2 then 3 etc. It would save a lot os stuffing around on my half.

Thanks,
FatBoyNotSoSlim

Wow, I didn't even consider ripping DVDs with multiple titles. I'll try to think of a good way to implement that, but just ripping all of the titles would do so many unnecessary ones.

True, but having them all done then deleting the usless ones is a lot better then having to select the next one every 20 minutes.

Make sure its named H300VideoConverter.j ar. If it is not, the batch file to start the program won't work.

idkfa, what do you mean there is static sound. Can you hear nothing but static? Does it happen with all videos?

Void< Yes in fact. I do get a good video quality though. There's no sound recorded, just plain bad static. Wonder if it's got anything to do with your signature...humm... But seriously, it's just a high decible static. What should I do? Best rgds,

Ok...I updated the zip file so that if there are any errors when running, the command prompt will stay open to give you the chance to copy the error. If I see the error, I can fix it.

Magneticring, you want to open "Start H300VideoConverter.s h" with the Terminal. I'd bet its on the list.
