Sansa E250 Died BUT
I am real impressed with Sansa Customer Service. I was in Bora Bora over Christmas and my E250 got REALLY, REALLY hot during a recharge cycle and then woudn't turn on.
As luck would have it (and because this was a vacation so I had room) I had my H120 with me so I could still listen to tunes while out on the beach, watching the clouds pass by...what an absolutely beautiful place... When I got back to Taiwan, I sent a message to Sansa through their website and let them know that I bought it in Taiwan. Over a few messages, they suggested several fixes which I tried to no avail. Then without asking, I received RMA in my inbox, along with a note that they will cover up to $15 in foreign postage. I can't begin to tell you how nice it was to deal with Sansa on this problem...they responded within a day to each message, were very helpful all the way, and then are willing to pay $15 to mail a $70 player! I'm not going to ask for the postage...I'll just be real happy to get a replacement player... In the meantime, I confiscated my son's player for my personal use... and he is using an old Zen Neeon player...he likes the lights!! Can't say enough good things about dealing with Sansa...

Update on this...I got message that Sansa (USA) is mailing out a new player today. Total turnaround time was ~ 3 weeks, including shipping internationally (2 of the 3 weeks). Really love the Sandisk service...
By the way, iRiver is popping up more frequently in Taiwan now...saw the Clix 2 at Costco and also at a French based electronic chain store here, FNAC... iPods are everywhere, my family now has two nanos and I really hate both of them...actually the hardware is pretty nice, what I hate is iTunes... Because I have multiple iPods, I found out most of my problem in getting them to mount was because of the USB cable supplied with daughter's 30Gb Video. Don't seem to have a problem when I use the cables from the two Nanos...did I mention that I hate iTunes??
