Battery hovering around 20%

My battery is behaving strangely (at least I've never noticed it before) and I wonder if anyone else has the same thing. (I replaced the stock battery with a 2300mAh about a year ago)

When the battery gets down to about 20% it seems to stay there. When I turn the player on, it says the level is really low, about 5% and as the disk gets scanned, the level drops to 0 or close to it. When the scanning has stopped the battery climbs up again and within 5-10 minutes it's back into the low 20s.

If I plug it into the PC (no USB charging) it drops from ~20 quite quickly but levels out near 5 and then very slowly ebbs from there. When I unplug it from the PC it slowly climbs up again.

I use my H340 about an hour or two a day and it might take 4-5 days to get to this stage but last for another 4-5 before I finally decide to charge it.

I'm using the most recent current build but I noticed the same thing with the last few dailies that I installed.

A batteries voltage will be lower under heavier loads than it will be when its at rest or under light loads , so the fluctuation you are experiencing is probably normal.

I'm not sure if it will make much difference , but , have you changed the battery capacity in rockbox ? Its in General settings > system > battery > capacity .

I hadn't changed that - I'll see if it makes a difference.
