Which firmware version for h340?

Okay, so I got myself an almost new H340 off ebay. I'm planning to install rockbox on it but I'm not sure which one of the possible firmware versions is the best. Which one would you guys recommend? Are there any big differences at all between the European, Japanese and Korean versions? Thanks for your answers!

The two differences between Korean/Japanese and European is the default language and the noise cap on the European firmware put in place to comply with French laws.
The language can easily be changed if you remember the key presses to get to the language options in the settings menu. They are also kicking around on MR somewhere... The noise cap on the European firmware cannot be removed, so it doesn't go as loud as the Korean/Japanese firmware.

It's probably best to go for 1.29K/J then you get the best of everything.

I use 1.29k as well. As mixin said, the language can be easily changed; instructions are in the FAQ here.

I flashed to 1.29K, and then Rockboxed my H320. It's been great!

Yeah, Schwab, I think that you were the one who straightened me out with the whole OTF playlist initialization - thanks again, by the way! One of my blonder moments...

Yeah, Schwab, I'm getting ready to cut them all off (to donate to Kids With Cancer to make a wig for a child who's lost his/her hair due to chemo).

No more blonde jokes for me for a while! : )

Ha ha! I might just look like my Avatar!
