I can't get DOOM to work!

I followed the TWiki Rockbox instructions for DOOM, I downloaded the WAD files and RBDoom into a DOOM folder in the Rockbox directory but it's still showing: "Incompatible version". What am I doing wrong? I'm using v1.29K with the latest Norbusan Rockbox version. Everything else is working fine. Please help!...

Try using a different WAD, if that fails post over at the Rockbox forums.

Thank you Lord! I'll give it a try and let you know. Once thing I'm confused about it and maybe you can help me: there is a PLUGIN folder in the Rockbox directory with DOOM in it. Do I need to place the WAD in that folder too or just in the rockbox/doom as posted in the instructions?:confus ed:

Try putting the WAD here:
Code:
F:\.rockbox\doom
That's what worked for me.

I tried. It doesn't work neither. What kind of firmware are you using in your iRiver? What about my question about the PLUGIN folder? Maybe if you describe for me your DOOM directory/folders structure I'll be able emulate them. I know that eventually I'll get it to work but for now it's getting on my nerves! I do appreciate your help!

I found the solution!...I downloaded the latest Norbusan version and voilá! all it's working but I keep loosing the settings after turning the unit off. I tried to save a config. but it does work partially since it just keep the fonts and the theme setting but lose the LCD and Sound settings. Any help with that? Overall, I'm very happy with Norbu version of Rockbox and I consider loosing the settings just a minor setback. I replaced the battery with a 2200mAh from Cameron Sino and it's working great too. I'll appreciate any help on fixing the setting. Thanks!
