Hey all, I hate to see support for what I considered the much-beloved H3xx to die simply because old WPS codes aren't working with newer builds.

It took me a while to figure out what was wrong with mine, but now I pretty much know what to look for 70% of the time.

What does this mean? I will volunteer to fix some of the other people's WPS so that the enjoyment of this remarkable player continues. Now, as much as I'd love to fix ALL of them, that is just too time-consuming, so I will do this on a first-come first-serve basis (well, to the best of my ability, at least! If I can't fix it after three days I'll move on the next request). That said, I will attempt to fix two WPS codes per week, starting this week!

I want to take a break from my "screaming oranges" theme for a while to help out all of you who don't like mine and rather use the competition's. LOL

Yea yea, doesn't do any good for my business, I know, but hey, I'm a nice guy, and quite frankly I love a challenge.

Anyway, start requesting what WPS you'd like to see updated for the new builds. I'll take a look at them and let you know whether I am interested or not.

Let the games begin, or something to that effect...

Man, you guys will owe me BIG time!

Reserving this post to upload the soon-to-be-uploaded fixed version of PELINKOVAC'S AJANT.

I chose this wps as the first one I will update because the little animated dude reminds me of Megaman!

I've been working on updating it since this morning, and I had some free time, so I got started and made significant progress already.

Edit: haha! I forgot I reserved this post and posted the fixed theme further down the page! Oh well...

I can't believe how appropiate the timing of your post was. I have been battling with an old wps all day and was about to start a thread to ask for help!

I'm trying to get PaulJam's PJ_Ice WPS to work with darky's last build. All the WPS is moved one line downwards, and if I delete the first line it aligns correctly, but I lose the first line of information, which is placed at the first line (i.e., the height of the statusbar).

The text is %pp/%pe and is placed on the top right of the wps.

I have also tried adding a custom line (patch) at (144,0) with the command "%e|144|0|71|1|00000 0|%pp/%pe" but *all* text disappears, so I'm probably doing something wrong.

Thanks a lot for your help! I love some old wps, and it is a pain in the ass that they get ramdonly broken by trunk updates.

Well, once you fix the Ajant themes, I think I will be all set. But, if you could find it, could you upload the Ajant collection? I know I can download it from the WPS site (forgot the link), but it never opens or extracts correctly, apparently that file is corrupt somehow.

But I imagine that one changed WPS config for Ajant will work for the other Ajant themes, just rename and copy over the old.

It won't load at all on the new builds, but works fine on the old norbu one I've been using for months.

If someone could help me get started on the changes, I could keep going myself, but I don't know which tags above no longer work or what they were once supposed to do.

(Mine looks slightly different b/c I wanted it to show file size and be more accurate in how it described mp3s without id3 tags. But if someone can show me how to fix the original, I should be able to fix mine.)

Pelinkovac's AJANT WPS HAS BEEN FIXED FOR NEWER BUILDS

Important: The entire theme must be re-downloaded in order for it to function properly. I made the according changes to the wps to make it work. Also, the wps screen has been modified. The old screen had two settings near the bottom left (under the progress bar) titled "Shuffle" and "X-Fade." The line of code for the crossfade option was the one giving problems, however, I consider this a somewhat useless option since people either use or don't use crossfade at all. Thus, I changed the wps screen background to show "Shuffle" and "Repeat," which I think is a more important icon status to have present than crossfade.

The Repeat button will light up when repeat is turned on. A different "icon" will appear depending on what repeat mode is chosen:

Mode: Repeat Off ------------> Icon: [none]
Mode: Repeat All ------------> Icon: Repeat
Mode: Repeat One ------------> Icon: Rep - 1
Mode: Repeat Shuffle ---------> Icon: Rep - Shu
Mode: Repeat A2B ------------> Icon: Rep - A2B

Last Norbu MULTI build tested and working: rb-np-multi-070516-1 (should work on the non-multi build as well)
Last Darky build tested and working: rb-db-20070807-14224

Note:There was no backdrop for Ajant Blue (as I call it) so I took the one made for Ajant Orange and changed the colors to match the blue theme. Also notice the change in the wps screen of the old "x-fade status" icon to the new "repeat status" icon. Kind of hard to tell on here but on the player it is clearly visible.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I originally aligned everything using Darky's Build, but when I used that WPS on Norbu's Build, everything was out of alignment again, so I had to erase some stuff and realign. I then tried the version that worked on Norbu's build on Darky's Build, and then Darky's was out of alignment! I really don't want to break my head any longer (this isn't my WPS anyway), so I decided to take the easy way out and upload both versions. Choose accordingly.

Not sure this really qualifies for your offer, but I've been struggling with making Arctic_Desert work with my recent stock build on the H340. I believe I've already verified the directory/file structure and have actually played around a little with tweaking some of the tags, learning a bit more and more about themes and WPS files in general as I go, but to no avail. Would you mind taking a quick look at it?

Itay Lazarovitch's Arctic_Desert WPS HAS BEEN FIXED FOR NEWER BUILDS

I decided to look at both Dark Aqua and Arctic_Desert before going to sleep tonight and, of course, saw that Arctic_Desert had a much simpler code to examine, so I got working. The problems were easy to spot. I fixed some corrupted tags. Also, curiously enough, the original wps had wrong coding for the play status (it was written to always show the "play icon" even though ffwd and rrwd icons existed! Now you will see the ffwd or rrwd icons light up when pressed.).

Last Norbu MULTI build tested and working: rb-np-multi-070516-1 (should work on the non-multi build as well)
Last Darky build tested and working: rb-db-20070807-14224

Sure thing. However, I'd like to know how many changes you made because I'd like to keep it as close to the original wps-maker's intent as possible. Frankly, I'd rather work with the original and then help you (via messenger or private messages or whatever) with your own version that shows file size (the thing is, I don't think everyone wants that option, so I'm trying to update the WPS to work for the majority of people's needs).

Your WPS is a very special case. I am intrigued as to why the alignment doesn't work for both builds and thus needs two separate WPS. As I said in the post in which I updated it, I will look at it a week or two from now and see what's really going on. To be honest, I'd like to write the whole WPS code from scratch using x-y coordinates.
