Question Microsoft .NET Micro Framework on iRiver - Is it possible?

Microsoft just released the .NET Micro Framework for developing embedded applications on small devices.

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/embedded/bb278106.aspx

Is it possible to use this for developing apps for iRiver?
What do Rockbox developers think about this?

I'm pretty sure they'd say no. But you would have to check on the actual Rockbox forums...

The .NET Micro Framework is supported by a number of ARM7- and ARM9-based processors. Minimum of 256KB RAM and 512K Flash/ROM required for development and deployment.
The H3xx has a Coldfire processor which is completely different as far as I know.....and the site mentions that it uses C# and .NET libraries. Rockbox is written in plain old C which could cause some problems.

Re:

I am not sure about the processor (Rockbox developers may know this) but C code can easily be migrated to C#.

The most difficult part (I think) would be to host the .Net Runtime (Common Language Runtime aka CLR) in IRiver
