original battery pack with rockbox

Is it possible to use iriver's original battery pack supplied with the H320 with rockbox? i have tried this and the battery doesnt show anything about charging. thanks!

i haven't tried it, because i dont have a battery pack, but it doesnt make a difference whether you use the original firmware or rockbox, because for the player there's no difference between the charger and the battery pack. The electricity is the same.

Yep - I used it the other day whilst I was recording something off the radio. And the battery icon looked like it was charging.

well, it works with me try a recently updated build

your battery pack doesn't care about the build or firmware your using. if it works with the original charger but it doesnt work with your batterypack, that means that something is wrong with your batterypack. it's a hardware problem and has nothing to do with software.

i just installed a new version of this rb build, i used it no problem (after a few teething problems getting the themes to look ok again). Battery got low so i charged it last night. seemed OK.

now today I'm using it - the first time i booted it, it went straight into iriver firmware, so i reset it. now the battery charge indicator on RB is at 0.. but I've been using it now for a couple of hours ok, so the battery is clearly charged.

any ideas ??

Best way to check:

1. turn off H320
2. put new batteries in battery pack
3. plug battery pack into h320
4. wait to see if iriver firmware starts
5. unit should be charging if not try holding down the stop button so the charging screen comes up, if it works then your unit will also charge when using rockbox.
