problem loading firmware PLEASE help

for some reason, i cant load my original firmware, and cant delete rockbox off of my player either....

if i hold the rec button and then power on, it loads up the loading screen thing, and then it flashes "starting original firmware" but then shuts off immediately

i can use my player just fine, but cant load up my other firmware.....

i tried deleting rockbox, but that wont work either ....maybe im doing it wrong, but im pretty sure the manual said all u have to do is delete the rockbox folder, and the that one file (bootloader) off the hd...
so

anyhelp would be appreciated
thanks

@godzilla_753...
It sounds like you're doing the button timing a tad bit wrong.

What you're doing up until it flashes "starting original firmware"
is perfectly fine, but keep the play (on) button held down longer
until you see the original firmware boot screen.

So do what you're doing at the moment, only keep the play
button held down all the time until you see hte loading screen.

The way i boot the iriver firmware is by holding both the play and record buttons until the iriver logo comes up

Wurzel, if your iriver is stuck on the original iriver firmware loading screen (the blue one with the iriver logo) then you have a different problem.

just get a pin or something else that is thin enough and press the reset button on the left side of your iriver (under the microphone)

Maybe you also could trie to get into the original firmware by just charging it. for me the stock FW starts then in the moment I plug my DAP in the power socket..

Try pressing play twice quickly in succession. This allows me to boot into iriver firmware though i don't use it very much!
