Rockbox on H380?

Hi,

Does anyone know, if one were to upgrade an H340 with the new Toshiba 80 gig drive (MK....something), would Rockbox still work on it? Or would the same problems that are plaguing the 80 Gig Ipod (i.e. not Rockbox working), be apparent on the upgraded H340 (being they are the same drives, I beleive)?

Thanks

It's not the 80 giga drive that causes the problems, its the new iPod (Gen 5.5). You could rockbox an H380.

The problems RockBox is having with the 80Gb iPod relate to the fact that a lot of the electronics have been changed since the 60Gb model was released.
I think they've switched supplier or something like that.

Either way, as matx says, it has nothing to do with the drive.

Wrong guys. The problems with the 80Gb iPod are because of the HD and how it is formatted, not from the electronics, which are the same as those of the 60Gb.

While it would be great to have Rockbox available for the 5.5 80GB I must say I am quite happy with it the way it is.
