Unable to Shuffle Folders

I am unable to shuffle songs that are in different folders. It will shuffle songs in one folder but not across folders.

Will I need to make a playlist of all songs on the disk to shuffle them.

Yes.

Or, you can use the Tag Cache and select "all" with the player in shuffle mode.

...or create playlists on your PC and transfer them. I run a script (on Linux) that automatically creates playlists for all my "Artist" directories, which contain all their albums, and also a "root" playlist which has everything. That, and the Tag Cache gives quite a lot of flexibility.
