Scanning disk each time i turn on

Hi I am using the norbu's latest build. I have had no problems so far with his builds.

Just that this time i get a message scanning disk each time i turn it on. Even after the filetree appears the disk spins for 5 min or so.
I have turned on the directory cache.
tag cache load to ram -on
auto update tag cache -on

what am i doing wrong

PLS help

I get that too; isn't it just the tag cache auto-update?

I don't think so, I don't use tagcache but I still get 'Scanning Disk' from time to time, must be directory cache?

from your settings it seems that you do use Tag Cache. Rather, that it is set up, whether you use it or not. the Auto Update = ON setting is the one that would cause scanning at boot, I think.

[edit: ah sorry, I'm confusing two different people ]
