I've got RockBox running great on my h340,
Just very annoying problem. I can't access my h340 as a removable hardrive in the Bootloader USB mode. I have it connected, the USB bootloader screen comes up, but still nothing appears on my computer. If I boot up into RockBox fully, or the original firmware, I have no problems... its just in Bootloader. If I have have it plugged into USB, and start the h340 ... then I need to unplug the USB let RockBox load fully then plug the USB connector back in. ... does anyone have any ideas as to whats going on? I'm using Bootloader v5 ... that is the latest correct? Last edited by AlbinoAsian : October 13th, 2006 at 06:11 AM. |

I also checked it on another computer ... and it returns the exact same results
I see that other people have encountered this same prob --> Speeding Up Rockbox anyone heard of a fix or a reason why this occurs?? Last edited by AlbinoAsian : October 13th, 2006 at 07:55 AM. |

Rather then start a new thread about the boot loader, I figure I'll tell/ask here. I think my iriver is finally dead
So basically I can't access any menus on the iriver itself. I did manage to have it connect to the computer and I tried formatting the drive, and changing the rock box build, but that gives no luck. Any one have any more thoughts on what I could do? I am pretty sure its bricked, and I can't reflash it to send it back I guess I am going to leave it on a let it run out of batteries to see what happens. That's the last thing I can think of. |

I have the same problem and am not aware that there has been a fix for it. I just live with it now. If there is any update or fix that I've not been aware of, then I'd be interested in hearing about it too.
I'm also using Bootloader v5 which I think is the latest. Actually, I think there is a Bootloader v6 which allows you to flash the Rockbox "operating system" to the EEPROM rather than loading it from the hard drive to reserve more RAM for buffering music, but I'm not using that one. Apologies if I got this wrong. |
