is this possible?

hey guys,

i just had a thought. People that are into the psp homebrew scene will understand this i hope.

is it possible to, using rockbox, connect the iriver to the psp via usb ports to stream isos across, using devhook on the psp (im sure somone here knows what i mean).

basically, using the iriver as an external harddrive to stream isos across to the psp running devhook so it plays games off the iriver instead of the memory card, using the same principal as the devhook usb loader mod. is it possible?

yeh,, I had thought of that as I have all my, erm backups on my H340. Unfortunately I don't have the port workingso I can't tell you if it works. Maybe I'll get the mod done - if I do, I'll post my findings here.

wasent the USB On the go chip disabled because it was draining the power?

otherwise you could always try booting into the iriver firmware

If it works with normal usb hdd's i dont see why the iriver wouldent work

USBOTG is FAR too slow (USB1.1) to transfer any large amount of data realisticly, it would never work.

edit: Except I've just realised u mean to use the data port, meh, could work lol, as joycetick said, if it works with normal USB hdds then I can't see why not. Dont need rockbox tho, just boot the stock firmware surely?

USB 1.1 can achieve 1.5 megabyte/s (12mbit)
2x CD-Rom (PSX was this, if I recall) is 300 kilobyte/s

If you assume Low Speed 1.1, it's still slightly faster than 1x CD-Rom.
