I just wanted to recommend this site: http://wps.abondar.de/
There hasn't been many updates recently so I would like people to upload their wps to this site.
I am going to contact the creator of the site to ask him if it is possible to make it a site open for other mp3 players. So whe can search for wps for Ipod Nano, Ipod Video, Iriver H3XX, H1XX,IAudio X5 and so...
I think it could be interesting now that I own a Iriver H340, my girlfriend a Ipod Nano, my brother a IAudio X5 and my dad an Ipod video!!
I am trying to turn them into rockbox fans.. and wps are the first thing to try to convince them.
I will also try to spread the word in other wps forums (like Ipods ones..).
Any help from others promoting the place is welcome.

First. It is far more complicated to upload a wps to the Rockbox site.
Second. wps.abondar.de looks much better and let you search for kind of wps you are looking for (Cover art, Backdrop).
Third. It is not updated very often also.

The Rockbox site is *the* place for storing wps, and with good reason.

Uploading is not going to be hard for anybody who can write one, and downloading from there is very easy.

Rockbox is updated as soon as you post it, so not sure what you are talking about there.

And if you want to make your work public, then of course you put it on a site that supports opensource, and not a private site.

Not updated means people are not using it.No new wps for a long time.
You know which is the best place for wps for the Irivers? HERE, the misticriver forum.
And I don't know what is the poblem to upload wps to various sites.

I dont have a problem where you upload your wps to, that is the nature of opensource, do with it what you want.

However you seem on a bit of a crusade for this site, you have posted a number of times about it, which is fine as well.

I have posted wps here as well as at Rockbox, and have spent considerable time making sure that the thread where they are stored here is kept free of discussion posts, and only contains wps.

However, it seems obvious to me that the best place for it is the Rockbox website itself.

I would upload to http://wps.abondar.de/ but unfortunatly DGT (all versions) is too big to be uploaded there. I realy want to upload to the rockbox site, as that seems the best place for it. but i find it a bit daunting. Wouldnt it be easier to use the forums on the rockbox site for a wps gallery?

Also, to those that have done it, do you have to ask for write permission (in the IRC channel, something else i have no idea about) to upload .wps's?

Now I am looking for other players wps so instead of going searching from forum to forum, thread b ythread, I think it is a good idea to have then in a common place. It could be the rockbox site or abondar or something like "allrockboxwps.c om" for example. That make it easy to check for new or updated wps. And I just thought the wps.abondar.de looks nicer and it is easier to manage. That is all.

PD: I am looking for any nice wps for Ipod Nano with cover art. There are 2 at the rockbox gallery but look crap. I am trying to learn and make a port of the Mypod-H or DGT.

Denny: You could upload one of the versions. And make a note where to find the rest. If you don't mind I could do it.

No, all the .rar's are too big. I cant even just add one version of DGT. Also, i'm not prepared to put up just DGT orange or one of the others since it would be pretty pointless. At the moment i'm reasonably content with having DGT hoasted here but i'd realy like to have DGT1.3 cvs on the rockbox site...

I created the site for builds supporting cover arts, scroll margins ans other features which are only possible with patch(es). AFAIK it is only allowed to upload WPSes on the Rockbox website which don't need any patch...

Now is my player again and going to update the website and my WPS.

Nope, you can upload wps's that require even very specialised patches like the jBlackGlass and jclix themes. You just have to specify which patches are needed.
