EQ question

I just installed Rockbox and I am learning the controls. I am having difficulty contoling the EQ settings. I have enabled EQ under sound settings, but I can't hear a change in the sound when I move the sliders. What's up?

Thanks.

i'm not sure if the EQ takes effect immediately when moving the sliders. i've noticed that if you move the EQ sliders around then go to the eq on/off setting and change it, it takes like 5 seconds for the change to kick in.
