Whoah... what the hell is wrong with the backlight?

Just now, I downloaded the latest H300 Optimized build. The damn thing freaked out on me, and now, during the bootloader, the backlight is normal, but during normal RB operation, it doesn't work at all. It functions at maybe 20% of what it should. Anyone know what's up?

Hmm... not to mention now, the backround images for 24bit WPS are won't go away... even with the application of another wps, the old backround stays.

It seems RockBox has become self-aware and is taking it's toll on my by messing up my ui.

If you wanna get rid of the backdrop, just go into the folder called (wait for it, wait for it...) 'backdrops' (wow, that was a surprise!) and delete the contents.
That'll sort the problems you're having.

My screen was screwed up last night but i thought it was because my battery was getting low (<10%) It would only work when i had a button pressed. It was mostly in the menus.

It wasnt a problem but it cant hurt to report it.

I had the same backlight problem when installed the latest build. It has just set the brightness to zero. Hold your player under a light, and you can see the screen to change the LCD brightness setting in the display settings menu.

the brightness was set to 0 (zero) in the 0.60 release.
donno why, but if you set it up to normal values (10 ?) you should be fine.
