playing Doom frozen problem

I was playing Doom for the is 1st time, and tried to quit but my player froze on the main screen were it says quit game, can't turn it off, or reset with the button on the side of the player and I tried the usb

can some one help?

funny? i had this exact problem earlier this evening when trying out rockbox for the first time

Has your whole player just frozen? when you tried to start doom?

i just reset mine using the side thing, works ok now

it freezes for me sometimes when i try to quit the game.

Geeze I must be borderline retarded - My machine froze as soon as I tried to start Doom (Buffer Error) - I was getting worried, and thought I'd have to wait for it to run out of battery to restart....I've had my H340 for a year, and it took this thread to remind me there is a freakin' reset button! BTW - Installed ROCKbox about 20mins ago, so never needed the reset before!

Still, I'm an idiot.

Don't be too hard on yourself - my H300 froze for the first time last week (1yr 1month old) and I didn't even know where it was. A testament to the quality of the iRiver* & Rockbox firmware.

*Note - of course the iRiver FW lacked some options we wanted, but as far as stability, it was really nice.

@Not Spanky, you will need to put a .wad file (you can find links on this site) into the Doom folder....
