Rockbox & track playing order

I have RB v5 bootloader and H300 Optimized:

I have just ripped some DJ mixes to mp3 using LAME/EAC and went to play them, and each CD album plays (and displays) the tracks in alphabetical order. Have I missed a setting that makes tracks play in the order on the CD?

many thanks

PS - I'm a very recent (yet another) ROCKBOX recruit - very impressive stuff. Thanks!

You'd have to either manually create a playlist with the tracks in order or rename the files with the track number at the beginning. E.g. instead of

A.mp3
B.mp3
C.mp3

do

01 C.mp3
02 B.mp3
03 A.mp3

in EAC, you can change the options so if the ID3 tags have the track number, the file names can have the track # inserted in the file name...which would fix your playlist problem...well as long as you're not using the id3 database option.
i have mine set up to go like this Artist\album\track# track titled
%A\%C\%N %T

I tag and rename all my tracks with mp3tag. It's fast, it's easy to use, and you can have your whole music collection looking uniform in very little time.

i've recently redone my whole 16,000 strong collection with mp3tag.
the whole process took 27 minutes!
best tagging program, no question about it.

Thanks people for your most useful replies. Appreciated! I spent a little time renaming manually, putting 01, 02,.. prefix after sorting each CDs content by date/time (this of course assumes that the ripping by EAC was at least done in order - most likely). However, the mp3tag app is most appealing. I'll get that!

Thankyou!

Rippers can be set to do this automatically, and other tag editors such as The Godfather also will do this.
