I've updated my two WPS' plus finished working on a new one.

All fixed to work with the backdrops.
Just for variety Font isn't Snap in any of them anymore.
Added changing colours effects to both the Neon WPS and The 4400, plus adjustments to the progress bars.
More updates and accompanying backdrops for all 3 to come.

Hello all,
here's my little contribution, the no-frills wps.

As the name implies, it's not the flashiest looking thing, but that's not its main aim; its main aim is to be easy to read and still show everything I/you/we (?) want (and not look like another iPod clone). Also included are a plain black backdrop and a synthetic beach backdrop for your use as you see fit. Hope it meets with your approval (or at least not hatred )
Extract the zip into your .rockbox folder.

I've had some problems compiling this .wps so I used Myth`n`Legend's Neon .wps as a example how the .wps should look.
It's basicly h3xxx version of great winamp skin D-Reliction made by Linus Brolin(name sounds familiar).

Apart from all that ripp-off, I really worked like maniac on this wps.(Stop whining!)

There are default blue version, and orange version of this wps.
I will make some more versions, including other fake eq animations.
If you have some suggestions, let me know.
I used font 6x10 which is unicode font.Enjoy!

I liked Ajant Blue so much that I had to add to it, and all credit due to pelinkovac for such great work on Ajant Blue and Orange.

I've generated a backdrop based on the Ajant Blue player background, and added it to the theme package.



The amended .CFG file applies the backdrop and turns the status bar to "on". Other than that the WPS isn't changed. All files are in place in the Zip file. Just extract to your .rockbox directory.

Right the file: Right click save as. put it in .rockbox, backgrounds.

Just for the ones who dont know:
set your theme to ajant. Then manullay set it as backdrop. (a-v, show all files, navi --> brwse the file, navi long, set to backgdrop)

Yes, it's true. iPodColorMax and iPodColorPlus got together, had crazy .wps sex and brought forth this:

It is based off the last version of iPodColorMax 1.4, but features the 'Plus' next track info as well as a clock. This was accomplished without adding any further clutter to the 'Max' screen, thus keeping with the traditional iPod image and necessitating the new name: Hipod

The current track is set to cycle with the next track info every 10 seconds. At the same time the total track number changes to the current time in unison along with the other cycle so as to (IMHO) look very slick, smooth and efficient, just as Apple would have done.

If you would like to change the cycle time to something shorter or longer, simply change the value in the .wps to whatever you like. The time value line is this: %t10 It appears six times in the file, all in a relatively sequential position so as to be easy to find.

Now on my monitor, I can hardly see it, but on the screen it is readable. At night it is just right

Hello all,
after alot of headaches with the coding of the .wps file and alot of editing for the design itself so it could work well I finally finished my first skin, Arctic Desert.

for now you can only see the ID3 tags and if the file does not include the tag there will be no text writen down, -sorry but I didn't had the time to add it to the .wps..
