ok ok ok... here is my problem

ok... i have deleted rockbox files off my hd and put on the old firmware
then i turned player off then back on
the reg firmware loaded.. and just to make sure i did a firmware update with the 1.29 firmware in the hd... without the rockbox patched firm ware.. so u would think because i updated to 1.29 it would be normal right... no!!!

idk what the problem is... but when i start up the player i get that stupid white screen that sais rockbox firmware u no that one...
then i have to hold play till it loads up... how do i get rid of it... i am running 1.29.. i suppose rockbox has left some trace of itself in the internal panel... idk... some1 please help me get rid of the screen

Man, ive read your other stuff and you really havent given rockbox a try. You know with rockbox you get all the benefits of queing music and recording monitoring and the list goes on and on. PLUS if you want to look at pictures and watch video (the prior is heading to RB soon) then hold down record and play on startup and you load to the original firmware anyway. Give it a go.

If your determined though. You have to download a fresh copy of the firmware from the iriver page and flash that onto your player. Then RB will be gone

ty. i was flashing with unpatched. it is fixed now. i think that was a little exageration tho astec lol. i dont know y but it is just like so natural to put the ... all the time... see... i just cant stop... ill try tho. i dont feel like going back and fixing it so i wont. just to show u i can do it for a little without using the .... thankyou for you help. and i will go to rockbox now that i see it in a diff view. right now. im flashing it for the 3rd time. ther ehas been a lot of dispute with myself about rb. i decided that i will use it tho it lacks a lot

the only thing it lacks over the original firmware is video and a sexy layout.

Just try it out. I've had RB for over a month and im still finding new things every day. Its jam packed full of features, just experiment

Right we dont tolerate short hand, as I said already today, it is done by children because the think they look L3@ or L337 (BTW copyright to me for the new version). We also appreciate thought out messages, we dont mind all lower case or even run on lines, but when you post like you do it is impossible for users from places like France who dont have english as a first language. Many here have iRivers but also use the time here to learn the lauguage and your totally incorrect use of some parts make life impossible as they just cant read it. Also we have dyslexic members who struggle to read and therefore post like yours make no sense to them. Make it readable by all or dont bother asking for help.

Once offs for thinks like "u" I dont mind but you do it all the time. The BTW thing is accepted here as for IDK well thats up to the users here. We use a specific selection of short hand here.

Correct, it specifically counts regarding the number of dyslexic members we have. I myself have difficulty reading any passage which has variations in the style such as yours. So make peoples lives easier write in propper english as best you can, sometimes it is helpful to use BTW and others but used sparingly you will gain the respect of fellow members.

Not to my knowledge (might be, but it is something I have never really investigatigated). I just struggle to read things when they happen to be as the OP wrote them.

I just can't believe how many people with English as their first language have such bad grammar and general writing skills. I see it all the time here on the boards: many (if not most) of the worst posts on these boards are written by members who have US as a location in their personal info.

What is that with those people? Don't they just write English when writing? Look, English is my 3rd language, but I can still write it properly so everybody understands what I'm writing. It's not that difficult!

i have some theories as to why, but as most of them involve the preference of one class of drug over another, i suppose it's not really appropriate to discuss here.

on top of that, drugs are a very important part of the culture. you want me to cite?

The only reason why drugs would be important in America or any other country is when they are used for medical purposes. Otherwise, I think it's safe to say to throw all recreational drugs into the garbage.

Back to topic: I agree with the other ones who say that you must flash native firmware back. I believe what you did is reflash a Rockboxed firmware instead.
