Rockbox shows only 335 Songs in my MP3 Folder (there are much more)!

Hi guys,
First i want to say how great RockBox is and that i am every day excited to read the news about it. Thanks to everybody who helps to improve it furthermore. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Now concerning my problem: Rockbox shows me only about 350 files and folders in my MP3 Folder! There are about 1300 files and 20 folder inside :-/ When i boot it with the standard firmware i can acces all files. Does anybody know what's wrong?

Another question:
It would be amazing if i could jump through the beginning letters (from a-z) in the Mp3 player. Will this be possible anytime?

Thanks for reading.
DvP

P.S.: Sorry my english is getting worse and worse since i am done with school

There is a setting that sets the number of files shown in any directory. It's under general settings > System > Limits > Max files in dir browser
If you jack this number up, you should be able to see more.

There's no letter jumping but for skipping through files quicker you can hold play and +/- to page up/page down.

As for your other prob, rockbox has a setting for what to display. You can view everything, only supported items, music files, playlists or tags. If any or most of your music is in wma format (or anything else rockbox can't use) and you have show files set to supported you will only see the supported files. To change this setting hold down A-B and use +/- to chose your setting.

Hope it helps.

Thank you very much! That helped

But there is another Problem now:
I've recognized that Rockbox does not show some folders to me. These are "normal" MP3-dirs and i just cant see them. They are called "New" or "MTV Unplugged". Any ideas?

THX

Edit:
Now they are here again!? Don't ask me why, thx anyway!

Glad you got it working.

Did you just have to reset for the folders to show?

If you enable the database, you can search for certain titles (or titles beginning with a certain letter) using a built in 'keyboard.' It's been a while since I used it, since it was very buggy at the time, so I can't exactly give yo instructions...
