Post Inskin with Rockbox

Just put rockbox on my h320. It rules, LOVE the soundquality!!
Only minor thing about rockbox is that it's plain ugly, at least in my opinion.. I've searched the forum a bit but couldn't find a good enough awnser to my questions.
1] Is it possible to iskind with rockbox?
2] If not, will it ever be possible?
3] Is there another way to get rid of the 2 colour screen?

Anyway, thumbs up for rockbox

One thing you may want to try out is the color changer. You can set your background and your fonts from a palette of 12 colors. As for me I like the interface better than on the native firmware because I can see a lot more of my music and get to it a lot quicker. In this case I'll take brawn over beauty any day.

Yeah, already tried the colourchanger

I also think the interface is way better for the same reasons as you do.
One of the reasons I love my h320 is that the colourscreen is so good, but it doens't really matter with rockbox.

Send a message via MSN to celluloid.dreams
Give it time mate, ROCKbox is still under heavy development.
Once alot of the code is written for our wonderful screen and optimised for the H300, then we'll see some beauty in it.

I think you're getting confused there timk88;

You can InSkin whichever Firmware you're running - it's themes I think you mean

Nevertheless, time will tell - people already have some exciting ideas on how to 'beef up' the Rockbox firmware to make it aesthetically pleasing. For now though, you can just use the Colour Changer Patch ...

HTH,

P.S. Welcome to MisticRiver !

Well, actually inskinning actually means printing out decorative pictures and physically placing them within the player itself. Electronic skinning is when the firmware itself gets "decorated"

Sorry MH, I missed a comma. Instead of this;

it should have been;

Indeed.

I hope that goes some way to explaining why I rant on at people who don't use the correct grammar, or use "txt spk"/"l337 5p34k" ( )

As the saying goes; 'Accuracy in Grammar and spelling reflects accuracy of thought"

AAAAAaaargh, all the skinning words :s

I thought InSkin would be inside so, it would be in the software and so it would give you a nicer looking WPS and stuff..

nvm me :P
