Can't build rockbox

I've been messing around with chaning the colors, and i can't seem to be able to build rockbox.
I can build it as a simulator, and it works just fine
When i try to do a normal build, i get the following

i was helped in the RB forums
i had to clean the build directory, and it worked

another thing i read somewhere, was that you should just have two different directories
create a direcotry called SIM and BUILD
change to that directory, and run rbconf
then, depending on which directory you are in, running make will produce the desired result

nah, that's all i got
i've only messed with building rockbox cause i wanted to change the colors.
it got old quickly

now, i just use the same simulator build to play around with WPSs

if i has better programming skills, i'd tackle the code itself, but that's not gonna happen

i don't even use the bleeding edge builds either
i follow the progress, and if i hear some cool feature has been added, i'll grab the latest
