a game request
can someone talented at c encoding (unlike me ) make draughts for the rockbox. i would love to be C encoding is to complecated for me. i cant seem to get the grasp of it. ive read loads of books but cant seem to get it. so can someone make this game?

isnt checkers with those kings and queens.
i mean the plain black and white ones.

edit: i thought checkers was with kings and queens, horses etc but thats chess. i ment checkers yes the one that you move diagonally.

haha... i pulled up that exact same image.

Chess is with Queens Kings Rooks Knights Pawns Etc.

Checkers is with two different colored pieces and you can move one space anyway, jump your opponent, and if you reach your opponents side you may be "kinged"

i am almost positive your talking about Checkers....


also, not to negate this entire conversation, but www.rockbox.org has a request section of its own, and rockbox.org will get you ferther then mIsticRIVER...

ah you mean chess. But draughts/checkers is where you go diagonally forward, reach the other side and 'upgrade' to a 'king' that can go forwards and backwards.

would be nice though to have multiplayer games (not togather but in turns)
like checkers, or backgammon
or 4-IN-A-ROW...there is an 8chip game of that...

Chess would be great. I've tried using a couple of Gameboy chess games on it but the problem is that both side's pieces are exactly the same colour! That's bound to get messy.

Draughts was the right name to call the game. Checkers is the group of games that its from.

There's many versions of Checkers around. Draughts is just one of them.

You wouldn't say american football is the only "Football" any more than "soccer" is...
You could also call rugby, gaelic and aussi rules football too.

Same applies with checkers...
