I can't get this working (alternating sublines)

Hmm, this is weird.

To my knowledge, the following line should work.

Code:
%al%pc %ac%?mp<Stop|%?ps<Shuffle Play|Play>|Pause|%t0.3--%>;%t0.3---%>;%t0.3----%>|Rewind> %ar%pt
But if I put it in the rockboxUI (or on my H340, for that matter), it just acts very weird. Can't I put alternating sublines in a play mode field (in this case, the fast forward field)?

What happens is this:
- even though the music is on play, it still alternates sublines. I'm not fast forwarding!
- in the alternating sublining weirdness, it also displays the |Rewind bit, even though I don't have a % in front of the | sign. Why does it also display the | then?

This is driving me nuts! Please help, thanks.

Hmm I'm still trying to figure out making WPS's myself, but I think I read that alternating sublines can't be used with things that are 'dynamic', like the progress bar. Would the fact that the play modes are conditional make them dynamic?

%s : Indicate that the line should scroll. Can occur anywhere in
a line (given that the text is displayed; see conditionals
above). You can specify up to 10 scrolling lines.
Scrolling lines can not contain dynamic content such as timers,
peak meters or progress bars.

That's scrolling, not alternating sublines .

Got it working. Thanks ghostface.

The answer is secret until I post my WPS .

Not really, but it's such a difficult answer, you can read it from the code of my WPS when it's done. That's much easier than explaining it now.

Got it working:

It was very difficult figuring out how to make alternating sublines involving the Fast Forward and Rewind bit, but they're animated now. For example, if you fast forward, you get -->, ---> and ---->, they change every 0.3 second. Try it, you'll like it .

Version 1 of the Judge WPS:

I use nedore-9 font.

Code:
%wd

%al Volume: %pvdB%ac%?mh<HOLD>%ar%?bp<Charging|Power: %bl%% >

%acNow Playing:

%s%ac%?ia<%ia|%d2>
%s%ac%?id<%id|%d1>
%s%ac%?it<%it|%fn>
%ac%?fv<VBR|%fb kbps> %fc

%pb
%t0.3%?mp<%al %pc%acStop%ar%pt |%al %pc%acPlay%ar%pt |%al %pc%acPause%ar%pt |%al %pc%ac--%>%ar%pt |%al %pc%ac%<--%ar%pt >;%t0.3%?mp<%al %pc%acStop%ar%pt |%al %pc%acPlay%ar%pt |%al %pc%acPause%ar%pt |%al %pc%ac---%>%ar%pt |%al %pc%ac%<---%ar%pt >;%t0.3%?mp<%al %pc%acStop%ar%pt |%al %pc%acPlay%ar%pt |%al %pc%acPause%ar%pt |%al %pc%ac----%>%ar%pt |%al %pc%ac%<----%ar%pt >

%acNext Track:

%s%ac%?Ia<%Ia|%D2>
%s%ac%?Id<%Id|%D1>
%s%ac%?It<%It|%Fn>
