VERY LOUD and painful bug

Ahh, my ears!

After updating with the 8 Dec 02:03 firmware, I was queing up songs and playing them, when I picked a song I didn't want. I decided to pause it. Instead of pausing, it sounded like it was pausing/unpausing every 1/4 second or so, at MAX VOLUME, causing a lot of pain in my ears...

To reproduce: Turn on rockbox. Pick a song, and within 2-3 seconds try to pause it. If this doesn't work, do it after queing a song by highlighting it and holding navi ->playlist->queue. It works 4/5 times for me.

***WARNING*** IF YOUR HEADPHONES ARE PLUGGED IN, BE READY TO PULL THEM OUT! IT'S VERY LOUD!

It has now been fixed on the bleeding edge:

Jens- Ooops, forgot to adjust 'fade on stop/pause' to dB volume. Sorry for any unpleasant noises.

Phew :-p

I did discover that it occured nearly every time I tried to pause or stop the music (but oddly, it worked every once in a while...?)

i just experiance this right after i flashed to rockbox, i was like "WTF i thought it played music", but then i read this, and i realize its a bug in the 12-08-2005 daily build, so i guess ill get the bleeding edge build that fixes it. Cause rockbox was looking nice. All i gotta do it remove the bmp from my wps and edit it a little to fit the screen and we will be set to go.

o yeah i totally remember, but i been reading and everyone saying the music is playing smooth, so i was like "WTF" but i just booted into the iriver firmware and realized that rockbox is still in developmental state.

I really appreciate everything the rockbox devs do for everything, if it wasnt for bugs like this, you couldnt make such a good program. No one is perfect. Go rockbox
