Color in Rockbox.
Is there any way to add some color? Possibly change the background color?

Yes, but it needs to be done with source code since no one has yet bothered to implement things like this.

There was lots of talk before the bootloader that people waited for it and then they would join up and develop for H3x0, but with the bootloader out since about two weeks we unfortunately still don't see any particular amount of color-LCD owners contributing.

I dont want color.
Yes, color for pictures and stuff, but I much Prefare the black and white in the H300.

Gotta disagree though, I love colour interfaces, I mean they don't HAVE to be too colourful, but a few splashes are nice.

the backround seems to be light blue on my device. isn't it supposed to be white? if i tilt my iriver a bit and look at the display from the right, it changes to white. strange. in the original iriver firmware the white is perfectly white.
is it ok?

it is called "rockbox blue" you can find it in the source code
just change it and "vualla" you have different background color in all the menues...

What's the point of having such a beautiful screen that can handle tons of colors if you aren't going to use them! I love the different colors of the iriver firmware. They should just leave the a theme for those who like it in black and white (blue and white).

I do use the colors......on pictures and video.
I muchos prefare the greyscale for navigaion and WPS, The iPods one is cool.

It's not that it won't be done, its that it hasn't yet. There are other issues/features that are probably a little higher in priority than the color interface. In time color will probably be implimented, but until then we wait.

And enjoy the rest of rockbox's features.
