After using BROWSE it takes longer to boot RB

It seems it takes longer time to boot RB after using BROWSE on iriver. So I tried to re-scan by going to MUSIC but I found out that if you use BROWSE function, it takes few more sec to boot rockbox. It annoys me because it kinda messes up with superfast-booting time of RB (bootloader v1)

Only me?

It happened to me also. It just sems to happen the first time booting into Rockbox after browsing. It doesn't take that long, however. I believe for me it took about a minute.

I think this increase in speed is extremely neglidgeable. It's probably taking a little longer due to some additional programming code.

The slower boot time probably comes from the changes that fixed the bug where some H300's couldn't boot at all, but froze with a black LCD instead. The new bootloader spins up the hard drive a little later than the earlier ones.

Phrase used in theatre
"Its NOT a bodge it is a temporary fix"
(though we do strech the meaning of temporary)

I think you mean the spin bug when selecting music. (In OEM firmware that is) This was addressed with the 1.29 and 1.04 firmwares that just came out.
