Rockboy confirmed roms

I thought we could start a thread where people could post links to gameboy roms that have been tested on rockbox and work fairly well.

So far I have only found 2....

Super Mario Bros Deluxe 2
Pokemon Yellow

You need to register on the site for both of those however

It may be against the rules, but it's not illegal. You can have a ROM of a game you own, and the links point to valid, legal sites.

But yes, I know what you mean

So, a better idea. Howabout a LIST of games that work?

You can have a list of games that work but if you try to post sites that have these roms you can be liable to be banned. Anyone linking to a site can be banned if it is found to be in need of it. Please do not force us to do anything we dont want to.

I would love to see a citation to a court opinion or statute to support that statement.

As Astec noted, we will watch this thread carefully, and close it if any of the posts even come close to anything that could be considered a copyright violation.

Kind of off topic, but somewhat related: Do roms run on rockboy at full speed on the H100? They only run about half or third of full speed on my H300, making them unplayable.

No, they don't run at full speed on the H100. Follow the Rockbox link in my signature to the IriverFAQ--I'm pretty sure there is a FAQ on this.

quick question, how to I play the roms on my h300? I mean do I need to download an app that will run them or do I just copy them over to my h300 and then just "play" them??? can someone please write instructions for this. thanx

The link on the rocdkbox wiki is a full rockbox.iriver build. I read the plugins page and it gives no instructions as to how I am supposed to install a plugin that is labeled like that only plugins that are called .rock. please help.

Now, make sure that these files are shown in the dir browser by going to the menu General Settings > File View > Show Files and setting it to either Supported or All.
Locate the file in the browser and play it by pressing the joystick down or moving it to the right.

all gameboy and gameboy colors games work their size affects their smooth work..
this thread is useless.. whoever want games will find them legally or ilegally..

i read the sites you told me to read but the link to download rockboy is a full replacement of the .rockbox folder, is that right?

Look, just follow the 3-step instructions posted above, and it will work. I don't know how I can possibly make it any clearer.

Rockboy is included in the basic installation, so if you have installed Rockbox, you have it.

Every game i've tried (about 20) have been slow. Also the game boy color games are not in colour. Is that right?

for the h300 yes, it will nto apear in color and will run slow no matter what....it sucks i know

That's is true at the present time. It is always possible that someone will optimize the code and develop a color version.
