wma to mp3 converter plugin

since rockbox doesnt play wma files, is it possible to get a wma to mp3 converter plugin like the wav to mp3 one on the player?

id suggest u use dbpower amp converter click on the name to go visit the page its got all the codecs u wanna convert into as downloadable setups u can install wid it n the process of conversion after install is so simple u jus right click on the songs n say 'convert to' n it gives u options take care enjoy!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure on this but i think transcoding would put quite a heavy load on the player and would be impractical.

It would be easier to use dbpoweramp as acenik suggested. However, in light of the quality loss associated with transcoding i'd wait a while. There is a wma decoder being worked on for rockbox (although i am unsure of its status at the moment).
