Wow. Utterly confused.
I'm trying to install rockbox on my h140 - just been to the rockbox site - it say I have to install the rockbox bootloader first? And then lists about ten different firmware versions - I'm a bit out of my depth here! How do I know which firmware version ? If anyone there can help that would be great! Thanks

If you are going to use rockbox as your primary OS then use any firmware for the bootloader mod, it really makes no difference. and installing/setting up rockbox is very easy.
1). Mod the bootloader, copy it to your player. 2). unzip ALL rockbox files TO your players root directory. 3). reflash your player, same procedure as you would use for a upgrade of irivers firmware. but check out the complete instructions, http://www.misticriver.net/forumdisplay.php?f=125 and below is a link to the dailies download page and rockbox manual http://www.rockbox.org/daily.shtml
