H140- STUCK during playback

Hi

My player has frozen whilst playing. None of the buttons do anything. I thought letting the battery drain itself out would do it...but its now been >24hours and no signs of improvement...

I plugged the remote in as well- which is also dead..........

any assistance would be appreciated.....not sure how long i will survuve without my baby!!!!

i was also wondering what the warranty period is on these players...i have had mine for about 18 months...and i have sneaking suspicion that its 24months...does any1 know what iriver are replacing players that they cant fix with...now the h340 is also out of production?? also does installing rockbox software do anything in terms of breach of warranty>?>

Thanks all in advance.

Erm, how about the handy reset button ? I can't quite remember where it is on the H1xx, but on the H3xx its just below the microphone.
In future its handy to keep a paperclip or safteypin slipped into your player's case so you always have one at hand.

Pushing the reset button (unless it is broken) will always work, because it momentarially physically breaks the connection between the battery and the player.
When I say the reset button, I mean the little hole thing that you push with a pin, etc.

EDIT: I think its on the bottom by the USB port. Push it in until you feel a tiny click (sometimes you have to push it in a lot more than you think, but not too much or you can break the button).
