Talking Just installed Rockbox on my H140 and my first (great) impressions are:

I'd have to say that even after just 15 minutes of use, this is one excellent piece of firmware...and I didn't even try everything out on it yet. It solves a good deal of the issues I faced whilst using the stock iRiver firmware, three of my main ones being gapless playback, backlight time limits, and a pretty slow seek speed. I was surprised to hear MP3s played gaplessly. I never heard this outside of just ripping the CD as an image and encoding that way before.

I like being able to customise the backlight so much, even though is all I use currently is off on main unit if not receiving external power and on always on remote regardless. That fade-in/out on the main unit looks wonderful. I'm surprised the original firmware didn't utilise this at least for start-up and shut-down...

Extremely nice there.

Only negative was I got 'stuck' in the EQ sub-menu and had to use the main unit to get back out. (I wonder why this happens.)

PS: Keep up the great work, developers!

Glad to hear you like it! You can aid the developer's by reporting bugs in the bug tracker. But remember to:
1. first try installing a new build to see if the problem is fixed
2. check the forums to see if there is a solution
3. when describing the bug, tell what exactly you did to bring it about. be as detailed as possible.
