Can't get Rockbox to work, no matter what I try!!

Hello Friends,

I am new to Iriver/Rockbox. I have owned one for one week, and I have yet to get Rockbox to work. I have used a variety of .hex files (all patched), daily builds, and versions (1.63, 1.65, and 1.66, US and EU versions). I have never seen the Rockbox splash screen. If I remove the .irver and rockbox folders from the Iriver it will load fine. If not, it freezes in the boot, and the drive seems to click while trying to boot. I have formatted (using the Iriver's own format utility) and started from scratch. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. I am losing my mind and time trying to get this to work. All this just so I can have an input meter for the line in (which I can't believe Iriver did not include with the original firmware). Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Possibly the hardware??

The stock firmware works, right? Because I had that clicking, and my hard drive was *shot*....

I don't think that we'll be able to provide any help beyond what you already received at the Rockbox forum.

Are you absolutely certain that you are using the build file for the H120/H140 and not the one for the H110?

Yes, I am POSITIVE I am using the right build. I have already packed it up and am sending it back to who I bought it from. Thanks for your help, all.
