Under what circumstances is MP3 playback fully gapless in Rockbox on the H140? I'm under the assumption that it is gapless only when a large MP3 is broken up into smaller pieces neatly on frame boundaries (like MusiCutter does, utilising CUE files/Cuesheets). If that's not the only situation, what's the other situations where playback will be gapless?

This FAQ should answer your questions: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/vie...rt_gapless_pla
Short answer: Rockbox will support gapless for MP3s encoded with LAME 3.90 or later, even if they are not split on the frame boundaries. |
