HELP, i massed it up!

Hello

I am leaving for 2 weeks and would love to have my ihp120 functional (

Well this might be too late but here is what happend:

1. Download latest rockbox for IHP120
2. Downloaded latest firmware for my H120 (1.66US)
3. Patched the firmware with the bootloader
4. Uploaded firmware, and the rockbox software
5. upgraded the firmware in the general settings
6. H120 restarts, bootloader show some information and continues to load original firmware
7. 0000 files found, H120 shows some jibbrish folder name and gets stuck
8. I shutdown, connect to USB and it is not recognized.

now it is stuck at the bootloader and i can't power it offl....

i believe that my problem happened because i had a v1.60 firmware and i upgraded to a patched 1.66

any way out of this?

what was my mistake?

thanks :/

The 0000 files error suggests that you might have a bad hard drive, which would have nothing to do with Rockbox.

As far as why it's booting into the iriver firmware instead of Rockbox, check to make sure that you have a rockbox.iriver file and a .rockbox folder in the root directory of your player.

ok back in action...

had to format... most the music was backedup but lost some... my bad...

what i did this time was first to upgrade my firmware to the latest version

and only then upgrade it to a patched firmware of the same version.

lets see what this baby got to offer...

btw, i was totally freaked out that i must of lost my mp3 player :/
