Blank screen when joystick button pressed

I've loaded Rockbox on my H120, when I'm playing a track and click on the joystick button to list the directory, the screen is just blank. Is this a known bug or is my RockBox just fooked?

TIA

Johno

I haven't seen where anyone else has reported this problem. Sounds like something's wrong with your install. As NP said, you could try reinstalling RB to see if that helps. Try a different build too.

By the way, it would be more helpful if you would let us know which build you've installed when reporting problems.

I bet you've turned your file view to playlists only or something!

Press a/b (this screen isn't blank right?) ->General Settings->File View->Show Files, set as 'all' or 'supported'

Now does it work?

Or that it simply hasn't ever been told to perform an initial tagcache update yet. Really, for Rockbox help, you should read the manual and wiki, and then come to the Rockbox forums. Generally, the developers and people who know it most intimately check their much more often than here.

@Only_the_girl, I responded to your other post with a message about how to download the manual.
  • You might also want to trying this:
  • Press and hold the A-B button. This will bring up the Quick Menu.
  • Make sure that "Show files" is set to "All" or "Supported."
  • Click stop to exit the Quick Menu.
@Llorean: I think that there are plenty of people here who are familiar enough with Rockbox to answer most questions related to the iriver platforms--possibly there are more knowledgable people here than at the Rockbox forum. (On the other hand, for iPod related questions, the Rockbox forum is definitely the place to go ... primarily because you answer all of the questions there!)
