i have H120,v1.65U, recently i've started to use RB firmware, and everything worked, i swiched between the two firmwares with no problem.
but now, my iriver firmware stuck, when i turn him on with the original firmware, he refuses to work, and stuck in the "read file system" the red led turns off, and he doesn't respond to nothing.
if i reset him, he works in the RB normally.
what can i do???
i can't even upgrade firmware now...

Get into RB, connect the player to your PC and run Scandisk. Your drive is showing symptoms of a faulty HDD file system.

Well, as long as Rockbox works normally, your hard disk isn't completely broken Did you use the tag database on iRiver firmware? I think the iRiver firmware also tries to read the tag database at startup. Maybe it's just a corrupted database file: So start Rockbox, connect via USB and delete the iRiver tag database file (you could also delete it direchtly on your H120 using Rockbox). Then try to start the iRiver firmware again. Hope you're lucky.

this happened to me as well, if the scandisk didnt work you'll probably have to back up all your files and reformat your hard drive. After that it should work as normal

There is a FAQ on this problem in the IriverFAQ on the R/B website. You can follow the link in my signature to the IriverFAQ.

i've had this happen to me 3 times already... i think it's time to do something about it, thing is i'm no rockbox hacker and i haven't the faintest idea where to start.
i wanted to make a wiki page on the rockbox site dedicated to this bug, but my wiki skills suck and i wouldn't even know what info should be collected

sooo....
if anybody can help or just go ahead and do it, see yourselves invited!

We've seen this problem several times. Most of the time it comes from a low battery. We've seen other cases where only a reformat helped.

I have never seen this on any of my players, but then I only use the original firmware to install the bootloader.
