My battery indicator is acting weird..

Ok. so I installed the new rockbox build probably a few months ago and it's been working fine until....i was playing a track ant it all of a sudden increased to its max and then cut out. Then the thing would boot up with the first screen and die.

A few different things have occured, like saying it's low on batt when its clearly full etc.

I've tried updating/refreshing the database on both OS but to no avail.

Any suggestions? I'm travelling soon and would love to sort this out asap!

Your best bet is to revert to an older, and established, stable build. Newer doesn't always mean better with ROCKbox, considering they're always trying to implement new features or fixes for other bugs. It's kind of like prescription medicine in a way, in that you'll be cured of one thing, but the side effects will give you diarrhea, heartburn and halitosis !

So that's my suggestion.. go to an oder build.

1. Change the thread title, as it's misleading?

2. What player/what build? I don't have any issue using the "standard" (non-personalized) build. Perhaps that's your issue?

3. Update to the most current (standard) build?

i believe this is the h10 battery going to crap, it happens to me too. It can get about 3 hours of playback out of it, but its split up into like 3 hour long blocks.

I agree that the title of the thread is totally inappropriate, since there's no proof that your battery failure is due to it

My next suggestion is to run the regular firmware and see how much battery life you get that way. If it is indeed only happening when booting to RB, you should do as I originally suggested.

yeah fair enough ill give it a whirl in the old firmware.
Although after it 'crashed' I tried to switch to the old firmware and it just turned off on me in the boot screen.

As for the thread title...I was pissed!
So yeah sorry for misleading anyone.....

I get between 30 and 75 minutes with Original Firmware before the screen"s light start flashing and it turns off. 1 hour later, it opens with a full battery indicator and I get between 30 and 65 minutes etc..

yeah loaded a new build (the latest odd rockbox.org) and it does the smae thing. Half an hour playback, then the volume increases to the max, and the screen then fades and dies.
It's shitting me off.

I have a cache.dmx file in the root directory, should it be there?

Anyways I don't know what the hell is the problem. it worked fine for ages then all of a sudden this happens.

If anyone can help me It would be greatly appreciated.
