MPEG encoder stretch video size?

Hey is there any way that the video encoder can stretch the size of the video so it takes up the whole screen. Cause i'm trying to convert a flv file that is a widescreen type and when i convert it comes out as a widescreen so therefore it is a very small video on my player. Is there a way to make the video come out to take up the whole screen?

Not sure if it is available in the MpegEncoder that TrueJournals made, but some DVD ripping programs will convert from 16:9 to 4:3

Send a message via MSN to mykel--
when resizing your video youve got two options: cropping the original video (and resizing as appropriate - in this case, h10 5g screen size is 128x128px) OR stretching your original video vertically - so its height is the same as its width - then resizing as appropriate (again, h10 5g is 128x128px). see attached pic for mspaint-y explanation (extra: mspaint in wine!)

edit: sorry i cant recommend a program to resize your video. there are hundreds and the majority are crap

If you're using the VLC Media Player Batch file, you can edit the parameters so the video size is however you want, not just the recommendations. Fullscreen can be achieved.
