Delete all the files in your .rockbox folder with the extension 'TCD', will force it to rebuild properly.

Okay i deleted the tcd file (there was one) and started to initialize the database. It finished and i rebooted as prompted. When i turned back on and went to the database i was asked to initialize again. Same thing as last time, it says commiting database 1/10 then jumps back to the main menu. Is there a setting i need to change? I cant work it out!

Only one? My player has about 9, interesting. Have you tried deleting the .rockbox folder entirely and using the newest build?

I have tried that but i will try again. It used to count all the way to 9/10 but now it just stops.
Okay just tried the latest build completly deleted my .rockbox folder installed the new one, went straight to databse and initailize, i turned it off, did the the commiting databse 1/9 but it didnt go to 2/9, 3/9, 4/9 etc. I assume it needs to go all the way to nine to work. After that i went backl to the main menu and went to databaase where it asked me to initialize again and it is now hanging on zero found. Is there are setting somewhere?

Have you got 'Load from RAM' on? Not that that should affect this stage.

Settings are in config.cfg in the .rockbox folder.
